Our sandals are designed to keep you grounded via Grounded Conductive Laces™. When worn on bare earth, Earth Runners give you an effective connection with the ground, through a copper lace plug on the outsole. Electron transfer between your body and the earth is facilitated through the stainless-steel lined lace circuit. This process grounds the body via intimate connection of lace and foot–similar to that of being barefoot.
LACE STYLES
Our conductive laces™ feature two parallel stitches of conductive thread up the entire length and are secured to the bottom of the sandal with a copper plug to keep you grounded. Our laces are extremely adjustable allowing you to independently alter the thong, heel and ankle strap to accommodate your unique fit preferences. After your laces are properly adjusted, putting on your sandals is simple as slipping the heel strap on and off!

Your order will ship out via USPS within 3-7 business days of receiving it. All orders placed by Monday 7am Pacific will be shipped Thursday. Orders placed by Thursday at 7am Pacific will ship Monday. Any changes to your order must be requested within 24 hours of placing your order.
All sandals are made to order in our Sonoma County workshop. *Please note we cannot guarantee changes made to your order 24 hours after it has been placed*

FAQS
Can Earth Runners be worn in water?
Yes, all of our sandals can be worn in water. The Earth-Grip footbed—which can be found on our Circadian, Chronos, and Alpha models—resembles the feel of a mild bare earth experience, but with superior all-weather traction. The 100% cotton footbed will hold some water weight until it has a chance to dry. In comparison, our Primal model dries much quicker by featuring no Earth-Grip footbed, but the trade-off is less effective grip/performance in water.
How does the Vibram outsole compare to the Walkbase outsole?
The raw materials for these two outsoles are produced by different companies in different countries, but the compound and tread pattern offer a very similar experience underfoot that is indistinguishable to most people.
How do the lifestyle laces compare to the performance laces?
The lifestyle laces offer slightly more comfort while the performance (adventure) lace is more burly & secure. They also come in different color schemes which may be a deciding factor.
Why are the Circadian the most popular Earth Runners model?
It's Earth-Grip footbed provides a comfortable secure experience along with ideal light weight, proprioceptive feel and aggressive traction. These factors work in concert to make the Circadian at home in the backcountry or around town.
Is the Earth-Grip footbed Organic?
The footbed is dyed in small batches using GOTS certified organic dye in Los Angeles California. The fabric itself is not certified organic. The farmers in India who grow our cotton use traditional practices that have been in place for over 100 years--before non-organic fertilizers were introduced.
We laminate the Earth-Grip footbed to the Vibram® outsole using solvent free thermal adhesive.

They make me feel like I'm not even really wearing shoes which is exactly what I am going for... then the copper plug at the bottom makes me feel grounded to the Earth's energy with every step. I will always wear tEarth Runners and so will my future babies.
United StatesI've been wearing earth runners almost non-stop for the last 8 months. I've been hiking in them and decided they were my best bet for my grand canyon trip. I wasn't wrong. No blisters, no rubbing. My feet sure got a work out but a good foot massage took care of that. I only had a slight discomfort on my right second toe after we finished over 26 miles. Not bad all in all! It really helped to work up by wearing them on my warm up hikes as they got progressively longer. Everyone doubted me wearing them, but my feet were in better shape at the end than anyone expected. My only advice is to know your body. I wouldn't recommend everyone do something like that, but I also know I have really strong feet so it was in fact the best idea for me personally. I have a pair with the everyday laces that I use for normal life, but those laces stretch out when they get wet, so I like the performance laces for when I have higher demands for my feet like hiking and going in and out of water. They dry surprisingly quickly. Thank you Earth Runners for a shoe that lets by foot be a foot, doesn't feel like weights on my feet, lets my feet breath and sweat all they want, and that I can do literally anything and everything in from lounging, walking, driving, swimming, and horseback riding, to hiking the Grand Canyon in rim to rim!! I love them. You should see my epic tan lines haha!
United StatesComfortable Sandals and look great. True to size. I wear for 1-2 mile walks and my feet feel supported and very comfortable. I wear athletic style sandals regularly and these are a great addition for style and lengthy walking. Will be buying more.
United StatesIt's true, I love my Earthrunners! I have been a fan of earthing/grounding for some time now and thought about buying a pair of earth runners for about a year. Finally I broke down and bought a pair of Chronos(9mm). I wear them all of the time and even hiked around Arches National Park for a whole day and I have no complaints! I have to admit, they look good too!
